Anton Chechin was sentenced to 8.5 years in prison on the grave charge of drug crime

Anton Chechin, a Russian activist arrested in December, was sentenced to eight years and six months in prison for the hard charge of drug crime. Judge Nachkebia, a Tbilisi City Court Jevba Nachkebia, issued a verdict on the morning of September 2. Chechin is innocent, and his lawyers say the police have taken drugs because of his activism.
