The sixth president of Georgia will be elected today with the help of the electoral college. For the first time in the history of the country, the president will be elected indirectly in the American model. The members of the electoral college are: 150 deputies of the parliament, 20 members of the autonomous government of Abkhazia, 21 members of the government of Adjara, 109 representatives of self-governments are in the college. The CEC is responsible for the procedural part of the elections. The governing team is talking about the future president, Mikheil Kavelashvili. The representatives of the government team say that the candidate was chosen, first of all, out of love for the motherland, respect for traditions and religion.
