Today is St. George's Day

Today is St. George's Day - the Georgian Orthodox Church celebrates the martyrdom of St. George on the wheel. Masses will be held in the churches from the morning. The Georgian Church celebrates St. George twice - on May 6 and November 23. Today is declared a holiday in Georgia.
