The amendments to the Law on Higher Education will be discussed at the plenary sitting of Parliament at the second reading this week. The changes are about the restoration of the teaching of Georgian language in higher education institutions. Since then, the Georgian language has been on the list of compulsory subjects only at the Faculty of Humanities, and since October 2025, the teaching of Georgian language will still be compulsory.
