Russian media: Lavrov will make his first visit to an EU member state since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022 and was under international sanctions

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, is going to visit the OSCE summit planned in Malta in December. Russian media reports that the OSCE summit at the level of foreign ministers will be held in Malta on December 5-6. This will be Lavrov's first visit to a member state of the European Union after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022 and it was under international sanctions. The last time Lavrov participated in the OSCE summit in Europe was in December 2021. Then it was held in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. After the start of the war in Ukraine, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia did not visit the member states of the European Union.
