Parliament is launching an expedited consideration of amendments to the Prosecutor's Office

Parliament is launching an expedited consideration of amendments to the Law on Prosecutor's Office. The novelty envisages a change in the rules for the election of the Prosecutor General. According to the amendments, the deadline is reduced from one month to one month, when the Prosecutorial Council has to submit a candidate for the Prosecutorial Program to Parliament. The election of the Chief Prosecutor needs the support of 76 MPs.
