Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas in Bethlehem. Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilus the Third celebrated the Christmas service in the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Savior. Religious leaders decided to limit themselves to only religious events for Christmas, so they refused to hold festive events in Bethlehem.
