In the first reading, the Legal Committee of the Parliament supported the law, according to which the wearing of masks at protests in the country will be prohibited. It is not excluded that it will also be banned in public gathering places, as the MPs have discussed this as well. According to the representatives of the ruling party, the law serves to prevent people wearing masks from committing crimes, which has happened in the streets of Tbilisi in the last few days. . The Parliament will consider the new legislative initiative in an accelerated manner and will adopt it this week.
