Hundreds of new, giant viruses were found in the oceans

Hundreds of new, giant viruses in the oceans were discovered by a group of researchers, led by the Banjamin Minchi of the University of Miami and the virologist Mohammed Moniruazam, using specially designed software, showing microbial genomes in seawater samples - including 230 giant viruses unknown to hitherto.
