April 14 is the Day of Georgian Language
April 14 is the Mother's Day in Georgia. On April 14, 1978, demonstrations were held in response to an attempt by the Communist Party of Georgia to change the constitutional status of the Georgian language in Tbilisi. Other citizens joined the students and representatives of the intelligentsia and gathered nearly 100,000 people on Rustaveli Avenue. From this day on April 14, it was declared a mother day.
