Amendments to the restoration of Georgian language teaching in higher education institutions are discussed in the committee today with a second reading

 The amendments to the Law on Higher Education are discussed today at a second reading at the sitting of the Parliamentary Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee. The changes are about the restoration of the teaching of Georgian language in higher education institutions. Since then, the Georgian language has been on the list of compulsory subjects only at the Faculty of Humanities, and since October 2025, the teaching of Georgian language will still be compulsory.
